Just a footnote about the tax protests: the conservative group behind them has associated the name ‘Tea’ with them, and some people are referring to the protests as teabagging, which – if you don’t know what it means already – you might take a moment to check out, because it’s hilarious.
Even better is the Rachel Maddow report on it that Adam showed me:
OMG! I am sooooo happy that I am not the only person who is like “teabagging? Seriously? Do you even know what you are saying???”
This seems to me to be one of those things that Fox will “cover” and claim victory… and MSNBC will mock, and also claim victory… (except MSNBC will be right…)
I felt like taking the day off and holding a sign at an intersection saying “HONK BECAUSE YOU ARE PAYING THE LOWEST TAXES THAT YOU HAVE HAD TO PAY SINCE 1992!!!”
